These knives are useless. They slip off items like carrots when cutting. Anything else they tear, they do not cut. Also, six of the knives in the set are identical. The six are like the type of big steak knife they give you in a mid-scale restaurant. So you really are only getting a very limited assortment of knives. Also the edges on all knives are finely serrated in the same manner. There isn't a slicing knife in the bunch. There is a reason they sell for around $30. Save your money and buy something a little more expensive. Shame on Chicago Cutlery for selling this junk.
